Parking & Arriving to the Venue

  • The Norfolk Collegiate School offers about 140 parking spaces at the school. Additional parking may be available behind the theater as well as on local neighborhood streets. Please arrive on time to ensure you are able to park.

  • All parents and students must enter through the main lobby doors of the Meredith Art Center, which is a tall, white brick building. All students must be signed in by a parent or guardian.

  • We will check your student in upon arrival in front of the Double Glass Gallery Doors and scan your tickets at the ticket table just outside of the auditorium.

  • Students will be taken to the backstage area to be organized into classes before the show begins.

  • Students in 1 dance should not bring any belongings backstage – please keep dance-bags and personal items with the parent.

Arrival Guidelines

ALL Students should arrive with:

  • Their first dance costume ON.

  • make-up done,

  • hair completed

  • tights/undergarments on.

The show order will be released so that you know which costume comes first in the show if your student has multiple dances. There will be a group dressing room with changing pods as well as 2 private dressing areas.

We recommend nude leotards for all dancers to wear under their costumes and/or a large men’s T-Shirt to change under.   You can order Nude Leotards to use at all your dancers’ performances over the years from Music in Motion for $25 or you can visit the dancewear store Jete to shop.
